Going up the Mountain
On Friday the first of August the senior class went skiing . My dad, Mrs Stirling, Mrs Dodd arrived at the bottom of the Cardrona mountain to meet the rest of the Glenham seniors. Then we had to take Ahna and Ross Norman with us up the mountain for skiing.
When we got up the mountain we headed to the rentals to get the things we needed. First I got some pants and a jacket so I wouldn't get wet. Then I got my ski boots, now they took a long time. Then I got my skis, now they looked cool. I put all my gear on and headed out to to our home spot inside. I went outside to go for my lesson.
At my lesson we went on the magic carpet I skied down it plus it was very good to refresh my memory. Then we went to the home spot for morning tea. After that I went back on the magic carpet to practice my turns.
Finally I felt confident to go up the mountain, it was very cold on the chair lift. I went on the back trail, it was so much fun, then I did it two more times. Then it was lunch time I had a really yum sandwich. I went out to the mountain and did the back trail another two times then I had enough and went to return all my items.
I loved skiing it was so much fun, it was a much better day then the last time and I cant wait till next time .

The Amazing Number 2
It is Tuesday 27th May and we are going Edendale school with Wyndham, Edendale, Tuturau and Glenham for the cross country. My Grandma and Granddad came to watch me and my mum.
All of the little kids went before my group because we are the 10 year old girls. The track looked really hard, but I was excited. Finally it was my turn, I stood at the line, then all of sudden ...go''.
There was one person in front of me, I heard Stirling and Jimmy saying "go Grace", It made me feel happy. On the third lap I was about to finish and I was coming first then I got passed by Laura and I got an amazing second. I was so puffed but then mum gave me a big hug.
After my race I cheered on my friends and had a big drink. Then everybody gathered around for the prize giving, I was so pumped to get my photo. Finally my name got called up, "Grace Michaels". I walked up smiling and got a big photo. I was very happy about what I got. I had a little talk with my friends then had to go. My mum said I did so well that I deserve some lollies and a drink. To sum it all up, I had a fantastic time and I am very pleased about where I got.
